Giveaway on Goodreads – Themself in Paperback
Here’s the book blurb on the paperback version:
“On a whim in November 2012 James Kemp took part in the National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) challenge to write 50,000 words during November. He didn’t quite make it, but he did get hooked on writing. That was his spur to enrol on a Creative Writing course with the Open University starting in October 2013. Themself is his story of how he became a writer, told in part using contemporary blog posts from his blog (see http://www.themself.org/ for more). While studying James was also working full time, being a parent, a cub scout leader and a school governor.
Through the book you can see the writing exercises that he found useful, his responses to them (and you could try them yourself). You can also see the notes that he made at the time to help him learn to build worlds, create characters, tell stories and write fiction. As well as the stories and poetry he has written there is the commentary on how and why they were written.
This is an inspirational piece of life writing that should encourage those that want to try a new creative pursuit. No matter how busy you think you are you can do it.”
Ways to get Themself for Free
The giveaway on Goodreads isn’t the only way you could score a free copy. If you have Kindle Unlimited (or you have Amazon Prime and an actual kindle) then you can ‘borrow’ Themself for free.
If you promise me you’ll review it on Amazon then I’ll send you a copy, either for kindle or in paperback. I’ll need either your Amazon registered email address (to send the kindle code to you) or a shipping address. These are best sent to my email rather than left as a comment.
